Notice of Meeting

The Board of Commissioners to the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired will meet Saturday, May 11, 2019, beginning at 9:00 A.M.  The Focus Topic will be the Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired and the commissioners will be conducting the annual performance evaluation of the executive director. 

The meeting will be held at the NCECBVI, 824 10^th Avenue, Auditorium/Room 126, Nebraska City, Nebraska.

NCBVI is conducting a public meeting on an amendment to its State Plan because NCBVI will be entering into an Order of Selection. The public meeting is an opportunity for members of the public, including individuals with disabilities, to comment on the policies and procedures of NCBVI. 

An Order of Selection Frequently Asked Questions document is available for review on the website for NCBVI and at each Vocational Rehabilitation Office.

Interested parties are invited to attend and to make comment. If reasonable accommodations are needed for the public meeting at any of the sites, please contact NCBVI at 402-471-8101 at least five (5) business days before the public meeting date.

The Blind Licensee Committee will meet on Friday, December 7, 2018 starting at 10:00 AM, in Lincoln at 4600 Valley Road in the 1^st floor conference room.   A telephone conference call option will be available for those not able to attend in person.  If the phone option or any other reasonable accommodations are needed, please contact us prior to December 3 by calling NCBVI at 402-471-2891 or 877-809-2419.  Every effort will be made to arrange the accommodation. Please note you will not be able to vote or have your attendance counted if you are on the conference call.
